Morgan Bagley
Top-10 finish in Cotton Pickin' 100 finale at Magnolia
On Friday afternoon Morgan Bagley made the trek to the site of one of the biggest wins in his career, the Cotton Pickin’ 100 at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.). Drawing 34 cars, Bagley came one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a fourth place finish, transferring him into the B-Main. Scoring a runner-up finish behind Brian Rickman, Morgan locked into the 19th-starting position for the opening night feature. With $4,000 on the line, Bagley improved seven spots in the 30-lapper to place 12th.
The following night, Morgan laid down the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group before picking up a 10-lap heat race victory. Starting the $15,000-to-win Cotton Pickin’ 100 in third, Bagley faded five spots in the 70-lap affair to register an eighth place outing. (Robert Holman photo | DirtonDirt.com)
