Bagley climbs to fourth in Comp Cams standings
On Wednesday afternoon Morgan Bagley traveled to I-30 Speedway (Little Rock, Ark.) to kick off the four-race stretch with the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS). With 31 cars on hand for the Hammer Hill Twin Bill, Bagley timed in third fastest in his group before placing second in his heat behind Jon Mitchell. The following night at Ark-La-Tex Speedway (Vivian, La.) for The Pelican, Morgan posted a third place finish in his heat, which positioned him seventh on the starting grid for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Breaking into the Top-5, Bagley clawed forward two spots to place fifth behind Spencer Hughes, Terry Phillips, Logan Martin, and Jon Mitchell.
For the third round of the Four-for-Four Firecracker Nationals at Lone Star Speedway (Kilgore, Texas) on Friday evening, Bagley secured his spot into the main event with the fourth and final transfer position in his heat race. Wrapping up the four-day stint with CCSDS on Saturday, Morgan headed to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, La.) for The Firecracker. Following the fifth fastest time overall in a field of 24 cars, Bagley came in second in his heat behind Terry Phillips. With $4,000 on the line in the feature, Morgan fell one spot in the 40-lapper to place sixth.
