Bagley’s first win of the season came in COMP Cams Super Dirt Series action at Arkansas’ Crowley’s Ridge Raceway.
“I feel like we should’ve had more than one win by now, but there’s probably a lot of guys saying that. We won this same race back in 2019, so I guess there’s just something about this track that fits my driving style. I feel like our car's had some speed and we just haven't been able to be in the right spots to catch the right breaks to take the opportunities to win races," said Bagley, who is 2-for-2 in career trips to Crowley's Ridge. " I hope this isn't a one-time deal and we can win some more."
Lifting his lid on a Labor Day weekend with the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), Morgan Bagley invaded Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Ark.) on Friday afternoon for the Labor Day Classic. With 28 Late Models entered, Bagley gained two spots in his heat race to finish second.
Starting the feature in seventh, Morgan tracked down race-leader B.J. Robinson with 10 circuits remaining amid lapped traffic and went on to capture his first win of the season and a $3,000 prize. He took the checkers ahead of Robinson, Logan Martin, Mason Oberkramer, and Billy Moyer Jr. to record his fifth CCSDS victory.
The following night at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Miss.) for the second round of the Labor Day Classic, Morgan scored a third-place finish in his heat race, which positioned him seventh on the starting grid for the A-Main. With $3,000 on the line, Bagley passed three cars in the 30-lapper to register a fourth-place finish. He followed B.J. Robinson, Neil Baggett, and Billy Moyer Jr. across the line.
Sunday’s finale at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) fell victim to Mother Nature.
Morgan remain fifth in the latest CCSDS point standings.
