Bagley returns to Volusia for 51st annual DIRTcar Nationals
Monday saw Morgan Bagley back in action at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) aboard his Billy Bob’s Repair & Tire No. 14m Late Model for the 51st annual DIRTcar Nationals. Drawing 47 cars, Bagley secured his spot into the opening night feature with a third-place finish in his B-Main after placing seventh in his heat. On Tuesday, Bagley’s seventh-place finish in his heat relegated him into the B-Main. Needing to place second or better to make the show, Morgan scored a fifth-place finish.
In a field of 58 cars on Wednesday as the remainder of the week became World of Outlaws Case Construction Late Model Series sanctioned, Morgan recorded a pair of fifth-place finishes in his heat race and B-Main, forcing him to rely on a provisional into feature. Passing 10 cars in the 40-lap affair, Bagley posted a 19th-place outing.
Later Wednesday night for the rescheduled Sunshine Nationals feature from January 22nd, Morgan raced forward six spots to finish 16th.
Following a sixth-place finish in his heat on Thursday, Bagley logged a 10th-place outing in his B-Main, bringing an early end to his night.
After missing a transfer spot in both in his heat race and B-Main on Friday, Morgan took part in his time trial session on Saturday but was a scratch from his heat and consolation event.
