With the 35-car field divided into two groups for a pair of preliminary features, Morgan’s seventh-place finish in his heat pinned him on the seventh row for his prelim. With $2,500 on the line, Bagley marched through the field 10 spots in the 20-lapper to register a fourth-place finish. He trailed Tyler Erb, Josh Putnam, and Neil Baggett to the checkers with Dalton Cook coming in fifth.
The following night, Bagley secured his spot into the $12,000-to-win Coors Light Fall Classic finale with a heat race victory. Rolling off on the fourth row, Morgan ran as high as second but faded late in the 60-lapper to finish sixth.
